Capt. B. B. Sinha, Director
Capt. B. B. Sinha has over 4 decades of experience in shipping industry. He is the former Director/CMD of The Shipping Corporation Of India & has held several Senior management positions in many organizations across the Maritime Industry.
He has worked in various sector of the industry including Oil & Gas, Liner Shipping & Offshore. He was also Director on the board of Steamship Mutual Underwriting Association (SMUA), Chairman of Irano Hind shipping company, Director at Indian Register Of Shipping, besides holding various other important positions.
He has also been closely involved in Maritime educations & training and was the Chairman of Narottam Morarjee Institute of Shipping & Great Eastern Institute of Maritime Academy & has also worked as Advisor at Great Eastern Shipping Company Ltd.
Mr Selvaraj Senthil Kumar, COO
Selvaraj Senthil Kumar, is a founding member of Bravo Ship Management. He was previously associated with Penta Crystal Ship Management Pvt Ltd, as a director. Armed with a bachelor’s degree in engineering, Mr Kumar has close to 30 years of maritime experience, including 11 years at sea —on bulk carriers and tankers. Having sailed as a chief engineer himself, Selvaraj motivates his team to provide flawless service to Bravo’s ship owners.
In his ongoing involvement ashore, he is experienced and instrumentalin handling drydock for bulk carriers, chemical tankers, tugs and barges, including selection of yards and negotiations, vessel pre-purchase inspections, identifying training needs,and imparting safety training to crew and officers onboard, implementation of risk assessment and installation of new PMS software on vessels, preparation of ISM manuals, and technical and crew budget formation. He is also an in-house trainer.
With his keen awareness of technical knowledge and wealth of experience, invaluable expertise and implications of the latest know-how, Mr Kumar has embedded impeccable advancements into the company by investing profoundly in its overall development and management, delivering exponential and manifold benefits for Bravo’s clientele.
Capt Sivaraman Krishnamurthi, Chief Marine Officer
Capt Sivaraman Krishnamurthi has a long and distinguished career in shipping, spanning four decades. ‘Krish’, as he prefers to be called, brings more than mentorship and consultative value to the Bravo table. He brings his rich and wholesome experience in chartering, asset valuation, oil major benchmarks, vessel performance optimization, tanker operations, safety and fleet HR.
Krish spent 25 years at sea, seven years in command, and 11 years in senior shipmanagement roles ashore. His sailing career covered oil tankers managed/owned by Anglo-Eastern Univan, Bernard Schulte, BW Group, and Eastern Pacific.
Capt Krishnamurthi was the Executive Vice President (Operations & Technical) at Sanmar Shipping, before moving into the entrepreneurial and consultancy space. He is the Founder &CEO of TrimSail Digital Solutions Pvt Ltd, which develops futuristic ship performance optimization models using AI technology. He is also a consultant for two marine technology products including underwater drones and marine fuel catalysts. Krish is the proprietor of Agvasa Logistics offering vessel chartering and post-fixture management services.
Krish lives by a philosophy of giving back to the profession and to nature as much as he has gained by it. He has spent at least 16 years dedicated to the development of several branches of The Nautical Institute (London) including Chennai, Kochi, Chandigarh, Singapore and Maldives. He was elected to the Governing Council and eventually in 2012 to the Presidency of The Nautical Institute. He continues to teach extensively at maritime academies in Chennai and is a board member for Nautical Studies at the Indian Maritime University. Environmental conservation is close to his heart. He heads the coastal clean-up drive for South India on behalf of Indian Maritime Foundation, Pune, and Ocean Conservancy, Washington DC.
Mr K.B. Swaminathan, GM–Technical
MrK.B. Swaminathan is a Chief Engineer with over 25 years of experience at sea and two years ashore as a Consultant/Technical Superintendent with Penta Crystal Ship Management. He is proficient in carrying out ISM internal audits onboard, preparation and attending to drydock of vessels.
He has profound knowledge in doing the spadework for Port State Control inspections of vessels, thereby an expert in preparation of Root Cause Analysis, corrective and preventive actions for the closure of deficiencies.
MrSwaminathan is technically sound in the execution of vessel pre-purchase inspection, preparation and yard delivery of vessels. Also, he has enormous experience in taking over and handing over of vessels from other management companies. He is skilled in accident investigation and report preparations for vessels.
Mr P. Dhanasekar, Manager–Fleet Performance
Mr P. Dhanasekar is a veteran Chief Engineer having 22 years of sailing experience on bulk carriers and containers,and nine years of experience ashore — handling fleet and technical departments. He is an integral part of the Bravo Ship Management’s technical team.
His fortes include monitoring the ships’ day-to-day operations and performance, and communicating with ships fortechnical matters. Mr Dhanasekar is well-versed in performing regular ship inspections and monitoring ships. He brings in multifaceted technical skills to guide the crew, thus driving top quality technical management performance and assistance that vessels under Bravo’s management require for smooth sailing.
Capt Surendra Kumar, Manager–Marine
CaptSurendra Kumar started his seafaring career with SCI. He has worked with various tanker owners and operators, including BW Group, Valles Steamship, MMS Maritime, and IranianShipping Line.
He started his career ashore with JSW Jaigarh Port as Sr. Manager Marine. He handled Handymax bulk carriers as a marine pilot,was responsible for planning and maintenance of port and berth equipment.
He joined MISC Berhad Malaysia as Audit and Training Superintendent. Later transferred to Eaglestar Marine(Jointly owned by MISC Berhad & AET Singapore)as Fleet Safety and Training Officer, where he was responsible for carrying out ISM, ISO, ISPS internal audits, Crew Safety training. Here, he also gained experience in SIRE vetting inspections, PSC, other audits, and investigations with MISC, Malaysia.
Before joining Bravo, he worked as a marine superintendent in MSI Shipping's Delhi office, looking after operations of oil-cum-chemical tankers.
